PhysX tip: PxConstraintFlag::eENABLE_EXTENDED_LIMITS

Thursday, January 17th, 2019

PhysX tip: in 4.0 some joints support a higher limit range than before. For example revolute joints could previously only support a PI*2 range. But it’s been extended. See PxConstraintFlag::eENABLE_EXTENDED_LIMITS. Thank you quaternion double-cover :)

PhysX tip: PxSceneDesc::dynamicTreeRebuildRateHint

Thursday, January 17th, 2019

PhysX tip: speaking of fetchResults(), don’t forget PxSceneDesc::dynamicTreeRebuildRateHint. Increasing that value can make fetchResults() faster. YMMV here but you can often increase this to 10x the default value without issues.

Bitcoin tip jar

Friday, December 13th, 2013

Inspired by my friend John Ratcliff, I just created a bitcoin tip jar for myself. Let’s see what the fuss is all about!

If you used my radix sort code in one of your project…

Or my triangle stripper…

Or Flexporter…

Or Opcode…

If you enjoyed my posts about optimizing convex-convex SAT tests…

Or the one about precomputed node sorting…

Or the one about restricting “this”…

If you enjoyed playing Konoko Payne…

Or if you enjoyed my posts on the GD-Algorithms list…

Or if you enjoyed some of my demos on ST even…

Or any of the things I did until now…

Then feel free to donate some bitcoins! :)

Urban exploration

Friday, May 23rd, 2008

Some of you might know “Roudoudou”, old coding wizard on CPC (yes, Amstrad CPC). I just discovered his website dedicated to urban exploration, and I find it amazing. Some pictures are puzzling. How the hell did they reach the top of the Grand Palais in Paris without triggering a zillion alarms?!

Other than that, this one reminds me of something…..  :)

Oldies but goodies

I was looking at old backup CDs when I found this again. It’s old but it still make me laugh a lot :)

Note: I see a lot of spam already appearing in the comments, so I changed the moderation options. Now a comment will need to be approved before appearing on the blog.

Hello world!

Tuesday, February 12th, 2008

Hola! Or should I say grüetzi ? Or simply bonjour? Those days I’m not sure anymore. I’m french, just moved from Zürich to Barcelona, and you may wonder why the hell I then write in english. Well, that’s because my main fellow co-worker was hungarian, and I now work for a swedish company. That being said, I’m still an Icelander inside. What a mess.

Anyway, new year, new web hosting, new job, new country, and then why not starting a blog, it’s 2008 after all.

This is the blog side of CoderCorner. I you liked the original, you’ll love this blog. If you hated the original, well, goodbye.

Goodbye and hello, as usual.
