So what are the new features?

Time flexibility is somewhat of an advantage to being unemployed:-)

It is very nice to work on a project and be able to do things, maybe not the right way. but the way I want, given infinite time. (well 30-50 years or so at least:-)

Great remake of the original title;)!
I’m waiting for the next release…’cause I haven’t seen much new things in the April release, just some other syndicates at the end of the level.Keep up the good work!

    Pierre, right?
Fantastic work on this project man. Wish I would have found this sooner…

Looks like you’ve been at it for a few years now. ^_^

I’m a 3D/2D artist and a modder myself, for quite some time.
    I was curious about something…

Would it be possible to remodel the characters for a more detailed look and maintain their animations?
Also, is it possible to use high resolution textures for the characters/environments?

Seeing how you worked so hard on the programming side, I thought you might like some artistic content to go with it. And I would really love to see a more updated look on Oni’s graphics. ^_^

    Cheers!

The new things are listed in a text file somewhere in the rar, but in un-edited form so it might not be very easy to read :) IIRC there’s mainly some new rooms (I have to do the level as well…), and tweaks to the combat system. There’s a lot of stuff that takes a lot of time but is not visible on screen, unfortunately.

Yes, it’s possible to remodel the characters and use high-res textures. I already use new textures for Konoko’s face, actually. Everything is possible actually, just takes time to implement ;)

…ok I admit I’ve “wasted” a lot of time lately on Mass Effect 2 and Bayonetta, rather than coding KP…

I think I’ve stumbled on your site before but didn’t know your little Oni project was playable I just played the latest one you have and its awesome it keeps crashing though i played a bit of the prototype then played a bit of the game was awesome then i stumbled on the developer part i can run it once then when i go for the 2nd time it crashes plus every time i choose two people to fight they starting running and they never meet up again but other then that its awesome its been made very well and still feels like Oni or how games use to feel back then which you don’t get anymore with today’s games

But i love how there’s new combos and how there’s damage on the player (will there be added blood like the original oni was going to have?) whole different game play but still kicks major ass so well done on your project this is going to be something I’m going to watch from now on as Oni doesn’t run on my machine anymore being too modern and patches don’t seem to fix it as I’ve tried recently i was wondering will you make this Both SP and MP or just SP?
